We should be able to tell a lot by listen to people and figuring where they come from. If they are of the world or of God. This is huge with todays culture and everything that goes on in it. You can talk to a person that gets all upset about this and that and view points of issues and events in the world and can hear their heart and tell it is of the world and is dividing people not bringing them together. We are called to come together, listen and speaking to God and loving each other bringing people closer to God and closer to each other. Love is at the base of everything that we do- its simple yet extremely difficult but all we have to do is show love. So very simple yet so challenging especially to those that aren't like us or that have different motives those that have hurt us and those we don't like. Real love is when Christ died for us- He set the example for us and to follow. Yes that maybe extreme but it shows the heart and we can do the same. Sacrificial love that we look always for others first before ourselves. If God did this for us and gave us eternal life, can't we for this short time just show love towards people, not too much to ask for is it? To prove his love to us he not only did this but gave us the power of the Spirit that dwells within us and never leaves us this is the proof of his love!!!! As we grow closer to God, ew become more like Christ and in doing that we show love. In order to show love we must get our heart right and be close with God and we show the love because God lives in us and through us. Perfect love casts out all fears and that if we truly love then there is nothing to worry about that we have done anything wrong.. ever! v20 is awesome and remains me of "Gods not Dead" when he says how can you hate some one that isn't real? This says if we say we love God but hate a fellow believer we are a liar and for we don't love people we can see how can we love God who we cannot see? Just a unique perspective on things and really think of thinking of the part of "Gods not dead" really brings this out and brings this Love into light.
