This first part is pretty amazing when you think about it. They were all the disciples but you think they they weren't guys that had a lot of skills and education. So to be able to spread the word would be hard, but God made them be able lot speak in all sort of languages so that they could go spread the word! When the Holy Spirit comes the results are immediate and the same is for our lives- but I know from reading before even though this happened and Jesus just told them to GO, they didn't go. People were amazed at this happening but as alway some people just can't accept the goodness of God and think they are all drunk- which by the way would be an impressive feat to actually be able to speak a new language when drunk. Then Peter step out, the great thing about Peter, and starts to share about what has happened and the Holy Spirit and the death of Jesus. We all sometimes need to be like Peter and be able to step out and just start sharing, even if others won't, we need to be bold in our faith and share even if others are mocking us. Peter goes on to share that we are called to do two things, repent and be baptized. One is a confession in front of almost just us and God while the other is between us and other people. When we do these things that is when we get filled by and the Holy Spirit comes to us. These people realized what they were missing and we also sometimes i think can feel the same ourselves and also know that others can. We need to know that when we do this just Christ frees us from our past and our sins. The last part tells us how to be a community of believers and what it looks like. How we can all come together and share things with each other and truly be devoted to each other.
