There are charges brought against Paul. He is known as a 'thorn' in the side of Jews all over the world. And he is also one of the leaders and followers of Jesus. Paul thought that the accusers should accuse him right to his face, and the Jews agreed. A man named Felix asked Paul to speak. Paul told him he came to Jerusalem to worship. He said he did not have any intention of making trouble. Felix wanted to actually hear him preach the word. Felix was scared about what he heard from Paul, and he told Paul to leave. Paul was put in prison because Felix wanted to make the Jews happy.

We see now that Paul goes on trail and appears before Felix and that what he is being accused as isn't really anything at all as we know. People have seen him and just because he is filled with passion and the Holy Spirit he seems different and living differently. We ought to live the same way and really almost be causing riots (well maybe revivals) around us. We see that Paul speaks but no one really does anything about it and Felix becomes afraid. He leaves him in prison for 2 years, and brings him out quite often to try to see if he will accept a bribe. What a foolish thing to think of that Paul doesn't not that and God has probably told him about that plan. Then he still stays in Prison when Festus comes along just to make people happy. He has no real reason for doing this but to make others happy. This seems rather foolish and should evaluate the situation. But think about our lives and how often we just g with others to make people happy and well yes it is rather foolish and all but when done like this it seems dumb and all but we don't think about it with us.

The only reason Paul is on trial is because he is telling the word of God hinted in the Jewish religion yet they Jews seem blind to it. Felix is just living for worldly pleasure he wants to make the Jews happy so he keeps paul in prison. Don't deny something that is obvious and true but as you said Aaron we do it all the time. Every time we sin we deny the law.

This chapter is basically Paul stating his case before the governer. The Jews continue to dislike Paul and try to bring charges against him the really can't be proved. Paul also sweetened his case and even gets to share the Gospel worth the governer. In the end nothing immediately happens but Paul is put in prison for two years.
I like what Emma said that Paul has been a "thorn" in the side of the Jews and they are doing what they can to get rid of him.
