At the beginning of the chapter, God through Micah is wanting the people to remember everything that God has done for them. Thinking back to the time of Moses and beyond. God has done a lot of his people. I think it is always good to reflect what God has done in my life because it is pretty amazing and i don't want to forget it. It is my motivation.
But i really like verse 8: "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with God"
God wants us to act justly, have mercy and be humble and walk with him.

The lord has done so much for us and often we take it for granted and just ask more of him rather than thanking him. Sounds annoying, doesn't it? As Dustin said, think of all the Lord has done for you. Do not just save up for this world save up for the next.

Yeah i really like vs 8 as well and know its part of the song courageous by casting crowns. This is just a great example and reminder about what we are supposed to do and how we are supposed to act. Beginning with how can we forget God for all that he has done and that we need to bring before God. At the end we see a sort of punishment for this and that they had enough but now God will make it tough on them and that they will try to save and harvest their food and all but won't be enough for them.
