I like even the first line of this and that Jesus was lead by the Spirit to be tempted by the devil. This is after he just was baptized and all and would think would be at a good place after he surrendered to God, but this does mean that we aren't tempted. I think the more we are Spirit lead the more that we are tempted. The devil attached him during a time of weakness since he was fasting the same goes for us when we are weak. Even Satan doesn't doubt that Jesus is the Son of God, in the way he addresses him, but he try to separate the spirit from the flesh and his needs. Every response is from scripture since it is something that nobody can argue about- that i one of the reason i feel that we need to learn scripture keep it close to our heart for ties like this when we are being tempted and all. I just always think its amazing, normal people normal jobs and some guy comes and says "hey follow me." I know my first reaction is "uh no, why? what are you about?" Im glad they didnt question it, and wish that maybe in certain ways i wouldn't either.
What are some of the needs that we have that would be good temptations: power, position, new item (car house ect)

The first thing I thought of when I read this was Jesus has got some grit! If you are hungry and he was unbelievably hungry you want food he basically had the food right in front of him in he had the power to turn that rock into food but he resisted the temptation that is really showing the divine relationship between Jesus and the father.
The devil is not stupid he knows how the best way to tempt people but what he can control is our faith in God.
