I love this illustration with the kings son's wedding I is exactly how it works the wedding is heaven the King is God he invites us all to heaven but we all say no. Then God sends disciples to gather us there but we just kill the disciples or send them away. This makes God angry so he lets everyone in to heaven and those that did not worship him on earth will be thrown out. The Pharisees tried again to trap Jesus this is my favorite comeback that Jesus had "give to Caesar what is Caesar's." I think what he means is if it is to avoid conflict obey authority.
The law is completely based off of these two commands love God and others this is all you need to do. Again the religious leaders keep trying to trap Jesus but in reality they are trapping them selves.

Yes. Agree Tanner that this is just a great illustration of things. I think also too is that go back to the whole things that its easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich person get to heaven. Those that had stuff didn't want to attend. The people who have things in this world are the same, and they ones that sometimes are the easiest to help are those in need. They understand and "don't have too much" they are closer to God. I believe the clothes represent the heart- some will want to show up but the hearts not in the right place so--- well they get tossed away to. You have to look the part and act like a Christian! Again with get this idea of the tax. That there are some things that are of the world, and that we are supposed to do or give back to those things while others that are of God and we can give back to him as well. We will all come together at end time- nothing will be able to tell us apart maybe... age, race, I'm not sure but do know that we will all be angels!
Yes tanner... the law and all Gods laws are based off these two things. Love God love each other! Simple yet hard!!! They are designed for relationship and to keep them healthy. God cares about relationships and how to protect them. Love is the first ingredient!
