Judas has so much guilt that he just ended his life right then and there. I don't think this is ever the right thing to do. I disagree that it's a straight ticket to hell, but It's definitely a sin. there's never so much wrong you can do that God will not love you or reaccept you into his family he will love you to the end. What was in these people's heads they knew what Barabbas did why did they choose him was it fate? were there rumors about Jesus? how? Whatever reason, thank God they chose Barabbas. Barabbas was just another sinner that needed to be saved like us. Very easily could Jesus have walked right up to heaven and taken the pain from himself. But because of his Grace he does what Barabbas deserves. Pilate washes his hands and says i'm innocent but he's not no one is. He fell into the pressure of the world Pilate is like us also we all have fallen into this world.
Kings show their power in their wealth and they are full of servants and people to do what they want. Jesus was the king that said I'll take on pain for you because I love you at a personal level. This kind of love can only come from God. Jesus showed more power in being humble than any king ever could being arrogant.
The crucifixion is hard to imagine how bad is was God could not even look upon him then we think about the fact that Jesus and the father were inseparable. Jesus could have been arrogant and just sent us all to hell, but he is love so he sends himself to hell. That's why sin cannot be measured I does not matter how much sin you have Jesus took it on. That makes sense now that we need to know Jesus before we try to follow the law.
