I think this chapter has a lot of good stuff in it! Again begins talking about discernment against false teachings which we can all take from but really like the parts after this. In v6 we can insert our name into this for Timothy's and just read it. 7 is really good for a lot of us especially in today's culture. I like 8 as well and that a lot of us spend time doing physical training but also have to train ourselves in the spiritual realm as well. I think 10 is a great life verse for us and took a lot away from it and want to memorize it. Verse 12 is our command or marching orders telling us what to do. For all of us think verse 13 is very encouragning and that it doesn't matter on our age but we can still do all these things. And 14 gives us the commands of what to do I order to help us achieve all this and this is what we are doing as a group. I don't think I have really ever read this chapter(sure I have) but might be one of my favorite chapters now

That was a ton of good points! On the other of 8 it says physical strength is of some value. Meaning still take care of your self. But God is of more value. Another verse that stuck out to me is 14. We all have wonderful gifts so use them to praise God. Don't neglect them or use them for sinful things.

I liked the verses 7-11. Being a sports person the analogy makes sense to me. Physical training is good but training spiritually is good for both in this life on earth and the life after in heaven. And we should labor and strive in our spiritual training meaning we have to put our effort into it. We can't just be lazy and expect to be spiritually strong.
