In this book some important points I saw where,we need to give thanks to God in our prayers. We need to thank him every time we think of him. I found it interesting that through Pauls story people where inspired to believe and follow.
Some people have good motives for preaching the Bible and others do it out of envy and greed. But Paul said it does not matter if they are sincere. As long as the word is preached we should rejoice.
You should not be ashamed of the bible but rather boast of Jesus. We also need to stay with Christ and not be turned to the flesh. Lastly you should live a life worthy of God. To believe and suffer for him.

Paul really loves these guys and is always praying about them. This is the only book he doesn't really come out hard to them but is pretty good natured and encouraging and supportive. Verse 9 is great that you love may about more and more in knowledge and depth of insight. Yes so often we want to talk about what we believe and our religion and maybe even denomination that we go to and what "our church" does or what we like to do. Our goal is to live our lives out for Christ- whatever it is whatever the cost. To die and stand up for Christ is what we are called to do. We have to cast our own opinions and realize we aren't trying to support ourselves and make a name for ourselves but spread the word of God.
Yes love that you said not to be ashamed and so often times it doesn't take much but we can be.
How are you going to Boast for jesus?

What is Pauls feelings towards the church here? Why does he feel this way?
What is he saying about theses relationships or how should they be?
What do vs 9-11 mean for you and how can you carry it out?
Why does Paul not care who preaches or how its is preached?
What or who is Paul living for? what does he say about it?
