1. Those who are hot in the Lord will prosper (v3). Those who are not With God will be condemned. We never know when judgement day will come so we always have to be ready.
2. God is so great and gives us so much yet we choose to disrespect him. The tower of Babylon is a perfect example of what this chapter is saying. Leaders of Babylon tried to become greater than God but this is impossible so they failed.
3. Don't live in fear God provides. There are so many old testament stories where the odds seem staked against God's people, Moses leading his people out of Egypt, Gideon and the wall, Daniel and the lions den, Noah and the ark, Joana and the whale, Joshua and the walls of Jericho, David and Goliath. In all these stories God is on his peoples side keeping them safe.
4. I really like verse 4 slow down and think about the long term consonances. He can give us more joy than any thing else on the earth (v7). Again he Protects us(v8).
5. This kind of wraps up what the other chapters said. He will rescue us from evil doers and provide for us. I praise the Lord for his protection.

Psalms 1-Here's what I took from it- blessed is the man who does not stand with the wicked. "He is like a tree planted by the water". Verse 4 is 'blowing in the wind'. Makes the wicked seem like chaff. Verse 6 stuck out to me.
Psalms 2-verses 1-3 are about all the good kings in Israel were messiahs (Gods kings). Verse 4, "the one enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them." Rulers plot against the Lord. He shows his anger in verse 5.
Psalms 3- "Lord, how many are my foes!" v3 the lord is a shield around you, your protector. "Break the teeth of the wicked", meaning stand strong.
Psalms 4- "Answer me when I call to you, my righteous God." He answers all your prayers. Put all your trust in the Lord! v8 "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." trust the Lord to take hold of whatever it is that is working you or stressing you.
Psalms 5- Evil is everywhere (especially at school). You must display God word and set good examples. Lead me in righteousness because of my enemies! All that take refuge in you rejoice! Lots of good verses in Psalms chapters 1-5!

Emma is right he really does answer all our prayers just sometimes in ways we might not expect or understand.

1- Like it a lot because Beckett means by the stream or river. We are called to be planted along the river and bear fruit. One of my prayers for Beckett is that he grows up to be like a tree planted by the river (God) and they delight in the Lord are firm and can't be cut down. The wicked are worthless like chaff that can just be blown around. Like this Psalms because we can really see the difference between a tree and chaff and get that image. What a great encouragement for us to know that the Lord watches over us.
2- Was a bit harder to understand I think but kind of take away that there are worldly leaders and kings that want to be in power and do things. God can just say anything or do anything and has power over us and just have to remember to say in him
3- I kind of see it as that David says that a lot of people don't think they will win or never see his son again, but he is praying and interceding with God to guide and protect him. The lord watches over us!
4- Like this chapter and that the Lord does answer us and sometimes like you guys eluded to that its not always what we want or when we want but we need to take time and not get anger with him. v8 is just peaceful and we need to be able to do this just cast all our worries and cares on him and we will be in peace and know that the Lord will keep us safe.
5- Like 8 and wish sometimes it was true and that his plan would be made easy and plain for us to follow. God loves us that we take refuge in him and he rejoices when we confide in him.

The general idea I'm getting is that If we trust in God we will prosper. He will also protect us along the way.

Yeah seemed as though these are just him asking and praying pleasing interceding with Gos asking for him to take care of him and that he can remain strong and firm in him even with everything the enemy is throwing at him.

1- This is probably my favorite Psalm of the whole book. "on his law he meditates day and night" just shows the importance of God's word in our life. We are to be about it all the time.
2- This Psalm reminds me who is in charge...and it is God. Ruler and people of this world need to realize who is the ultimate authority.
3- David is just relying on the Lord to help him through a very tough time.
4- Verse 7 is the one that stuck out to me. The Lord beings us greater joy then anything here on this earth.
5- God does not like evil or wickedness and will ultimately destroy that. But He loves the righteous and will bless them.
