Chapter 10 is about how Jesus will always be there for his people and is the son of God. Jesus does not desert his people. He guides and directs our lives. God does not give hard task to weak people. He know the tough situations in our lives and whatever we face he will be there for us! Jesus tells his followers that a flock of sheep will only follow their true Shepard. Jesus explains to his followers that he is the Shepard they should follow he will protect them. Just like a Shepard that protects his sheep. There is like a controversy between the Jews. Some Jews think Jesus is the devil, and they are just mad at him. Other Jews are the complete opposite by saying Jesus is not the devil he cured a blind man. The people ask if Jesus if he is Christ. Jesus said that he has already explained to them but they do not believe him. He tells them he will give all his followers protecting and eternal life.

The first thing came to mind was: Why do we sneak? its not to be caught and usually when its not good. Sort of like a lie. We know these things are gad so we do then... when why not just do the easy things and go though the gate... isn't that why its there. Just like sneaking and lying the gate to that has been made and its easier because of Gods grace and forgiveness.
Like what you said Emma, very well said!!. He does call us and lead us and his directs our lives. What are we trying to do? are we trying to steal and kill or make a rich satisfying life? Now i don't mean seriously kill but take joy happiness from people or encourage and give them a good life.
They wanted him to tell them... but he said just look at my works and you can tell I'm am of the Father. We need our works to display the Father (as mike talked about today)

Yeah, I agree if you go the way of Jesus your life will be so much easier than if you try to find another way through to heaven because Jesus is the only way.
Jesus is the shepherd we are the flock we do not argue with God on what we are to do we just have faith that he knows best. God's gift is not just for you it's for everyone we are called to encourage others to follow God. Do not think that you are better than anyone he loves us all the same.
The crowd is again split they cannot decide if this is the son of God or not. Some of them say he is demon possessed they think he is crazy, but others say how can a man that opens the eyes of the blind be crazy.

Good summary Emma. I like the metaphor that Jesus uses about His Kingdom about the sheep and the Shepherd and the thief. Makes a lot of sense and is easy to understand. Jesus is our true Shepherd and we are His sheep and we just need to follow Him and where He leads us because that will be best, just like you were saying Tanner.
And there is another time where Jesus upsets people and somehow escapes without getting captured...I know Aaron you mentioned it a couple of chapters ago on how does Jesus keep escaping but there He does it again in chapter 10.
