Jesus cared enough about Mary and Lazarus enough to risk it to go back. He tried to be sensitive about it at first but they didn't understand what he meant so plainly told them he is dead. She knew he would rise again and she had faith she just thought it was when all believers would and my now and to begin doesn't blame Jesus but says only if you had been here sooner maybe wouldn't save happened but still in this moment believes he will dos something.
Wonder why he got so angry? Have said it twice- I could just imagine with his anger and asking hem to roll the stone away...( wonder why he could just tell it to move as well ) People got scared and wanted to kill him-

Chapter 11 is about how Jesus brought Lazarus up from the dead. Raising Lazarus from the dead people started to believe that he is Christ. The sisters of Lazarus sent a message to Jesus and explained to him Lazarus deathly illness. When Jesus got the message he told them that his illness will not result in death but in the glory of God and his son. Judea was not a safe place for Jesus. Jesus replied he would go wake Lazarus from his sleep. The disciples said that the rest was good for Lazarus. But the disciples did not understand that Jesus was saying Lazarus is dead. Jesus explained to them everything. And the disciples took him to Bethany. Jesus just got to Bethany. Lazarus has been dead for 4 days already. One of Lazarus's sisters goes to meet Jesus. The sister told Jesus if he was there a few days earlier Lazarus wouldn't have died. Jesus replied- he will soon rise again. Jesus told the sister that Lazarus is the resurrection and through him all who believe will yet still live. Jesus asked where Lazarus had been buried. At the grave people were asking Jesus if he could have kept the man from death. Jesus then ordered the stone to be removed from in front of the tomb. When the stone was removed Jesus said a prayer to God thanking him for giving glory to his name. After the prayer he called Lazarus forward. When Lazarus rose from the grave many people believed that Jesus is Christ. When the Pharisees heard about what Jesus had done they were in complete fear. People wondered if Jesus was going to the feast. The Pharisees commanded if Jesus was anywhere near he might be arrested.

This chapter really shows that Jesus has emotions too. The death of Lazarus really made Jesus sad and angry. I think he was just annoyed that people kept telling him that if he would have been there Lazarus would not have died.

Yeah I agree with Tanner that this chapter really shows Jesus and His human and emotional side. Jesus felt pain and emotions just like we do.
The Jewish leaders still dislike Jesus. Nothing Jesus does will convince them of who He is. I would think if you raised someone from the dead people might believe you. Lazarus was dead for four days. But like aaron said the leaders are scared of Jesus and their pride and power is blinding them to Him.
