If we want to grow and be fruitful we must remain in him. If you stay in God he will shape you into something beautiful he will cut off bad branches in you. Think about if you cut off a branch from a tree the branch will decay and wither away. That is like us without God reminds me of the Tobymac song me without you without God we are hopeless. Love others as God loved you first.
If you truly love God with all your heart the world will reject you because you no longer follow its ways. The world will throw more obstacles to try to separate you from God the closer you get to him. Through it all remain in him.
I you have an understanding of the truth you are called to spread to truth to everyone. If you do not want to tell a Person the truth because of fear of being rejected from this world you are letting this world control you.

John 15 is about Jesus preaching to his disciples. Believing in him will bear the fruits of a Godly life. He like illustrates with a vine and its branches to put his point across. The branch that produces no fruit will be removed by the Lord. But the branches that produce healthy and natural fruit will be taken care of by the Lord. He used this like I guess you would call it a metaphor to get his point acrossed. Those who abide by him and believe will conquer. Those who do not believe in him and the word and despise the Lord will soon perish. Jesus tells his followers to love each other and treat others the way they want to be treated. They should also be willing to sacrifice their life to save one another. Because he was willing to give his life up on the cross. Jesus is the greater than any man. Jesus stated that he has done many works him and his Father. But some of the people seem to hate and despise them both. He continued with- Everyone should bear witness because you have been with him from the beginning.

Has really turned into one of my favorite chapters. Love just this display and metaphor here that He is the vine and we are the branches. We must abide and remain in him and he will remain in us. We must build our foundation on him. We must dig our roots deep- we must trust in Jesus and remain in him. Then God will prune us to the way that he wants us to be. I believe that this is kind of a natural pruning because the close we get to him the less junk we have on our branch. We want to bear much fruit- We however don't want to bear fruit that is pleasing to us but our fruit is for others to enjoy. He talks about this in the last part on loving and how we should love. We will be his true disciples when we bear much fruit!!!! This is just great- hard but great. I think the one thing that stood out this time was the we will be filled with Joy. I know for me the close I am with God- the more joy I have. Our joy will overflow!! IT needs to overflow into others so that they too can bear much fruit!
We do not want to be part of this world and as Romans say want to be transformed so its okay that the world hates us or people hate us because we are different. As we heard this week its great to be different and God calls us to be different in our own unique way but also different from the world.
