Chapter 21 is about Jesus like revealing himself to his disciples after the crucifixion. Some of the men go fishing. In the morning they see Jesus at shore watching them. The men are not sure if it is even Jesus. Even when Jesus is speaking from a descent distance they still can not recognize who it is. When the men tell Jesus they have not caught any fish Jesus replied--cast your net over the right side of the boat and then see what happens. As soon as they did that they catch a ton of fish to the point where they can not lift the net onto the boat. The men figure out that the Man was Jesus. The men decide to go to shore and cook with the fish they have and bread. Jesus asks the disciples to eat breakfast with him. Jesus then asked Peter if he loved Jesus more or the other disciples that were gathered there. Jesus repeats the question because Peter would not answer the first few times. Peter replies to Jesus "Since you know all things you must know that I love you more." After all of this Jesus asked his disciples to follow him. One disciple asked who betrayed Him. Jesus does not reply. In the end of John he says not even the world itself would not be able to contain the books that should be written.

Sometimes we need to throw our net on the other side if the boat if something is not working for you why are you still doing the same thing.
What does Peter loving Jesus have to do with feeding Jesus's sheep? I do not understand the meaning of verses 18 or 19?

One things is how do you not recognize the voice of Jesus? But even if couldn't see who it is its like why listen and think that in another book they don't really listen but still yes if not working and some one gives you advice you might as well try it!!! We so often times try to do things our way- but its the way of other and the way of Jesus that works!!! Just again love Peter and how excited he was he just jumped out of the boat to come see Jesus! Good questions: well think there is a parallel here between Peter and deny him three times to asking him if he loves him. Care for his sheep is like taking care of his people Jesus wants to know if Peter loves him and will take care of Gods people and "do the great commission" or the way i read it. Im not sure on 18-19 would have to look it up some more. But my understanding is that when we are young we do things by ourselves and don't look after others. We only try to take care of us and our own desires. But as we get older we rely more on other people to help us and to help take care of us. We take others peoples advice and look more for the interest of others rather than ourselves. IT doesn't matter what God/ Jesus wants for other people (like Peter is looking at John here) but just do what you as an individual can do to take care of the things he has entrusted to us. would love to see v25......

I looked up verses 18-19 that person's interpretation was that Jesus was predicting that Peter would die a death for Jesus. John could have made the connection because he probably wrote the book after Peter was killed by Nero.
