We see the parable of the Farmer scattering seed and this illustration should really come alive for you guys and the area that we live in. This is the same thing of back then and these people would understand exactly what he was saying. We know that if we planted seeds or something on a road... nothing would happen be blown off or birds or something would come and get them. Then there is shallow soil and good soil as well. We know that depending on where the seeds land how much crop they would produce. Same for us and that it just depends on how how "readily acceptable" we are to the word of how much fruit and crop we will produce. We want to be ready to accept and spread Gods word. They were confused by this speaking in parables, but it was a relation that they could understand was just a different type of teaching. We have to understand that sometimes when we spread the word we can't always expect results. Some will hear it and not understand or they accept it at first but then fade back away after some time or other things arise (to me i think this as almost business faith). The thorn seeds and that they worry way to much about how they will be seen or heard. But we do get the few that will take it in and grow and reproduce! To make disciples that make disciples to accept Gods word and go around and spread it to everyone.
The weeds and the wheat is the next parable. I don't know if i know the full mean but my guess is that we are like the wheat and others weeds. We will grow up in this life together and it will be hard to separate them sometimes. We might not always know what is what for while till they grow up but we can see the results. We live in a world that we are all together but some is what God wants us to be while some are of the enemy and are growing up right along side of us trying to kill us and choke us out. Think the final part here is judgement day, the harvest that God will separate us and we will be played in the barn, Heaven, while the weeds will be burned, in hell.
