Psalms 36- "The wicked flatter themselves". The evil wicked people on the world worship themselves and not God, them type of people are not happy with themselves and try to get attention by thinking they don't need God. Light makes light meaning God's generosity towards others is extravagant compared to the "self-important" wicked evil people.
Psalms 37- "The evildoers will fade like grass." They will die away from everyone and hopefully will come to find God who has been missing in their life. The success of the wicked will not last long, they will soon come to find God.
Psalms 38- "Your arrows have pierced me!" He has sinned and can't handle like the stress of it. His guilt overwhelms him because he is worried about what he has done. "My strength fails me." He has sin on his shoulders. We talked a few weeks ago on a Wednesday about 'baggage'. Which is so much stress and sin that you are bringing your self esteem down.
Psalms 39- this is not a very happy Psalm. It is about wrestling with God. This is trying to get the point across about suffering, and failing. They ask God for help and don't get any. Your hope is in God.
Psalms 40- He waited patiently for the Lord. He soon received help from the Lord for all of his wrong doings. God raised him from his slump and his heart fails him but he the Lord is his help.
Psalms 41- The psalmist were sick. God heals the weak and the sick. God shows mercy to all and helps when they are in need of healing or whatever it is he will take care of it! The Lord has upheld him from his enemies and shirked him from the evil and wicked.
